Good Company
The Northwest Dance Project
presents “In Good Company,” Fri
day, Dec. 7 through Dec. 16 at the
Northwest Dance Project Studio and
Performance Center, 833 N Shaver
St. and Mississippi Avenue.

Inspired and danced to vintage
records, the project’s choreographic
creations are set to such tunes as
“Big Spender,” Benny Goodman,
classic rock from Queen, “Time
Warp,” and much, much more.
Portland favorite DJ Anjali will
be behind the decks at each show,
spinning the records as the dancers
perform these wonderful and whim
sical new works. This is a family-
friendly show, all ages are welcome
and sure to enjoy.

You’re invited to celebrate the holiday season at Beaverton’s
annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Open House on
Friday, Dec. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Activities begin at 5 p.m. inside
Beaverton City Library, 12375 S.W. 5th St., followed by the tree
lighting program at 6 p.m. across the street in Beaverton City Park.
“This annual community tradition brings our families, friends
and neighbors closer together during a very special time of
year,” said Mayor Doyle. “I invite everyone to join us as we
create some cherished holiday memories at this family-friendly
event.”
Attendees will have a chance to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus,
and take in performances by the Beaverton Community Band and
the city’s staff choir. Children and their families can participate in
activities, games and a holiday craft workshop.
