A collaboration between Legacy and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the religious leaders raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance o f early detection by hosting health education activities within their churches and organizations. A Mission to Feed Preparations are underway at Union Gospel Mission for their an­ nual Thanksgiving meal for the homeless on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22 from 10a.m.to 2 p.m. New this year, the mission is ex­ panding their services to reach low- income families in need with over 300 food boxes distributed through­ out the city. Union Gospel Mission urgently needs Thanksgiving canned and boxed foods, such as boxed stuffing and instant potatoes, canned yams, dinner rolls, juice and coffee for the meal and to put into food boxes.
