H om e Forward, the new name for the Housing Authority of Portland,
is current accepting applications for a Development Finance Coordinator.
The Development Finance Coordinator position works collaboratively
with key individuals in Development and Community Revitalization
(DCR), Real Estate Operations (REO) and Finance and Accounting to
perform detailed and innovative development financial analysis that
ensures that the agency balances and meets its mission objective
in the development and maintenance of affordable housing while
ensuring financial feasibility of these projects; Is responsible for
developing detailed financial pro formas on assigned properties;
Prepares and monitors complex development budgets; Seeks out
funding sources and prepare financing applications for lenders,
investors, HUD and others; Develops or negotiates the terms of
regulatory and operating agreements that govern the use of the
properties; Prepares demolition/disposition applications for HUD;
And manages the budgets for administration and development of
low income and public housing projects.
Education and Experience Guidelines:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely
provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Atypical
way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or
university with major course work in finance, accounting, business
administration or a related field. A Master's degree is desirable.
Experience:
Three years of increasingly responsible project management and
development finance experience providing financial analysis related
to the financing, appraisal and development of affordable housing.
