The Oregon Zoo, a department of Metro, a metropolitan service
district organized under the laws of the State of Oregon and the
Metro Charter, located at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR
97232-2736, is requesting proposals for Geotechnical Construction
Observation for the New Elephant Habitat.
Sealed proposals are due close of business Wednesday, August 15,
2012, in Metro’s business offices at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland,
OR 97232-2736, Attention: Karen Slusarenko, RFP 13-2162.
Metro is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide services,
as outlined in the Professional Services Contract (Appendix A to the
RFP), including but not limited to: geotechnical construction
observation services as required per City of Portland special
inspection regulations for retaining walls, fills, foundation subgrades,
deep foundations, and deep excavations for utilities, including
backfill. Shannon & W ilson, In c.’s design and construction
documents, under review by the City of Portland, shall be the
references used by firm to evaluate and analyze observations.
