Talents
A group of seniors and their
caregivers sang and dance their
d ay aw ay at the E m e ritu s
Sellw ood Landing long-care
health facility in southeast Port
land, competing in a national
contest to find America's most
talented seniors.
The recent event was part of
the non-profit 3in4 Need More's
50-city bus tour to raise aware
ness about the high price of long
term health care, and how se
niors and their families can plan
ahead to help mitigate the poten
tial costs.
Spokesperson and author Dr.
M arion Som ers is traveling
across the country in a con
verted Greyhound bus to share
tips and emcee the talent audi
tions. The visit included a stop at
Voodoo Doughnuts, which cre
ated special donuts for the Port
land contest.
