Workshops
For tips on how to recycle kitchen
scraps and yard wastes into com­
post for successful gardens this
spring, local residents can join sev­
eral composting workshops sched­
uled in the com ing m onths in
Vancouver.
Classes include an introduction
to composting science, and a visit
to a composting demonstration site.
A course in vermi composting will
cover the basics of using red worms
to turn kitchen food scraps into
black gold for the garden.
The workshops are part of the
Clark County master composter and
recycler program, led by Columbia
