The Oregon D epartm ent of T ransportation invites all
interested parties to a public hearing on am endm ents to the
Disadvantaged Business E nterprise (DBE) program waiver
that allows ODOT to set race-conscious contract goals for
specific groups identified as having a significant contracting
disparity. ODOT’ is requesting am endm ents to the waiver
from the U.S. D epartm ent of T ransportation based the
following 2011 Disparity Study Update findings:
• Asian Pacific A m erican-ow ned DBE firms were shown
to have increased their share of contracts sufficiently to
no longer need race-conscious goals on construction or
architectural and related services contracts.

The Sustainability Center Department of Metro, a metropolitan
service district organized under the laws of the State of Oregon
and the Metro Charter, located at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland,
OR 97232-2736, is hereby requesting sealed proposals for
structural engineering consulting services.
Sealed proposals are due no later than close of business on May
1, 2012, in Metro's business offices at 600 NE Grand Avenue,

Metro is requesting proposals from qualified structural engineering
consultants for work associated with the potential acquisition of
the Blue Heron paper mill site.
