Weekend concerts by the Vancouver
Symphony Orchestra under the direction
of Salvador Brotons will feature two young
competition winners.
Il Hoon Jung, 14, a freshm an at
Southridge High School in Beaverton,
was the first place finisher in piano at the
symphony’s young artist’s competition
in February. Angela Tang, 14, an 8th
grader at Athey Creek Middle School in
West Linn, won first place in the strings
competition.
The Willamette University Chamber
Choir will also perform. The concerts are
Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 at
Skyview Concert Hall, 1300N.W . 130th
St. in Vancouver. For more information,
