In honor of his untimely passing
this year, Hollywood T heater’s
ReRun Theater presents a Soul Train
T ribute with som e o f the best
samples o f this legendary show,
including some of the amazing per­
formances, Don Com eluis’s ever
changing hair style and of course
those outrageous Afro Sheen com­
mercials that sponsored the whole
event.

“Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde vs. Dr.
Atomic” is the latest “Opera vs.
Cinema” production by Opera The­
ater Oregon to pair silent films with
improvised music.
This one-night-only Friday the
13th show brings “Dr. Jekyll and
Mr. Hyde” to the big screen with
accompaniment inspired by the driv­
ing and explosively dramatic music

Atomic.”
Pianist Douglas Schneider, per­
cussionist Ian Kerr and tenor Daniel
Buchanan will team up in aminimalist
group improvisation to put a new
twist on a classic tale.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the
show starts at 7 p.m. at The Mission
Theater, 1624 N.W. Glisan St. Tick­
ets are $12 at the door and $9 in
advance.
