Jefferson High School Middle College families and
supporters are invited to a Multicultural Film Festival
screening of Edge of America, a film based on a true
story that takes place on the Three Nations Indian
Reservation.
The film focuses on the reservation's high school
girls' basketball team that is to be coached by a
newcomer, Mr. Kenny Williams, an African American.
The dynamics of the interactions between coach and
players will be the topic o f a discussion on the dynam
ics of identity from a Native American perspective.
Area residents are invited to view the free film and
add your voice to the discussion.
The screening is Wednesday, March 13 at 5 p.m. at
the North Portland Neighborhood Library, 512 N.
Killingsworth in the Second Floor Conference Room.
It will be facilitated by Mr. Richard Twiss and Dr.
Randy Woodley.
