He is survived by his daughters,
Sherrie W olf and Kim Wolf; step­
daughters, Terry Ling and Sandra
Normoyle; five granddaughters and
four great-grandchildren.
John will be remembered as a
man who genuinely cared for other
people and taking care of his fam­
ily. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made in his name to Our

for John H. W olf on Sunday, Jan. 29
at 5 p.m. in the chapel at Skyline
Memorial Gardens.
John passed away on Friday, Jan.
20, 2012 in Portland, at age 91. He
was bom Sept. 26,1920, to Henry A.
and Rose (Spencer) W olf in Port­
land, the youngest of four children.
At a very young age he lost both of
his parents. He grew up during the
depression. This would shape the
rest of his life as a devoted family
man and tenacious worker.
He attended Chapman Elemen­
tary School and Roosevelt High
School, graduating in the class of
1940. While in the Navy aboard the
U.S.S. Anderson #411 during World
W ar II, he met Dorothy Stewart, of
Wellington, New Zealand. They
married in 1947. He later went on to
marry Katherine Swenson in 1969.
John started several businesses,
including Cedar W est Carpets,
where he and his son, Daryl, worked
together. He was preceded in death
by his son, Daryl; his stepdaughter,
Kathy Ling; and his first wife, Dor­
othy.
Sealed proposals are due no later than end of business February

BRIEF DESCRIPTION 0FTH E WORK
Metro has needs for shuttle buses for scheduled events and on-call
services. The services are most often for parking lot shuttle services
at the Oregon Zoo (Zoo) and Portland Expo Center (Expo). In
particular, the Expo is hosting the Cirque Du Soleil event in spring of
2012 and the Zoo has several events throughout the year that
require shuttle services.

Metro may accept or reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part,

is deemed in the public interest.
