Keep Alive the Dream Tribute

On Monday, Jan. 16, beginning at 11 a.m., greater
Portland will join hands to celebrate the life and work
of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as the community-
based World Arts Foundation presents its 27th con­
secutive tribute to this great American and world-class
citizen.
“Keep Alive the Dream” offers an exhilarating re­
newal of the human spirit. The celebration honors one
of the most renowned, revered, and respected leaders
the world has ever known. Always a powerful and
diverse tribute, the MLK holiday event will leave a
footprint on your heart that you don’t want to miss.
The entire program (from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) will be
sim ulcast live on Portland Com munity Media, chan­
nel 11; Portland Public Schools Television Services,
channel 28; and KBOO Radio, 90.7 FM. The public
