Mural Brings Cuban Flair ^
Local artists Emily Beeks and
Rachel Oleson recently completed
a 50 x 35 foot mural on the east wall
o f the popular Cuban restaurant
Pam biche at 2811 N.E. G lisan St.
The central Havana architecture

“The Pambiche mural project is
a splendid addition to the c ity ’s
collection of m urals,” says Peggy
Kendellen, public art m anager at
the Regional Arts and Culture
Com m ittee. “It was an am bitious
undertaking from beginning to
end— from initial planning, select
ing the artists, fine-tuning the
design, and doing the actual paint

Pambiche and The Apambichao
Building were the project’s main
sponsors, with additional fund
