She spends the next few hours washed, and following a meeting
with the performers, Ferguson is
soon stretched with hair and make

“It’s exciting to perform,” she

A native of Virginia who first
learned to ride when she was just
five-years-old, she rarely gets ner

Ferguson’s life is busy, and pretty
much defined by horses and per
forming, but when she does get time
off between shows, she likes to ex
plore the city and spend time with
her own horses at home.
“It’s great to love what you do,
and I do,” she said.
Cavalia has gotten good reviews
during its Portland run. The show
continues through Jan. 2.
