Holiday Revue
Adds Star Power
Oregon Ballet Theatre adds
an extra splash of Oregon star
power to their hit alternative
holiday program, the retro-glam
Holiday Revue, with the addition
of special guest artists Marv and
Rindy Ross, the leaders of multi-
platinum pop band Quarterflash,
Performing alongside the duo
are returning celebrated song-
stress Susannah Mars and Rich-
ard Bower. Holiday Revue plays
Saturday, Dec. 10 through Dec.
22 at the Keller Auditorium.
The show mixes holiday stan-
dards like “Christm astim e Is
Here” from A Charlie Brown
Christmas, ‘‘It’s the Most Won-
derful Time of the Year,” and
“Let it Snow !,” with contempo-
rary holiday songs including Wil-
liam Bolcom ’s “Lime Jell-O
Marshmallow Cottage Cheese
Surprise” and “Hanukkah Bless-
ings” by the Barenaked Ladies,

Adventure Camps
Winter break promises to be
fun and educational for kids at
tending the Oregon Z oo’s new
“Art-ic Adventure” day camps,
Dec. 19, 20, 28 and 29.
The camps will focus on con
nections between art and ani
mals from around the world.
Activities include guided trips
through the zoo, games, crafts
and stories.
“Animals are the inspiration
for art all over the world,” said
Jennifer W hitener, the zo o ’s
camps and classes supervisor.
“We want camp participants to
explore the importance of ani
mals in culture.”
Camp programs are available
• for children 4 years of age through
3rd grade, and hours are 9 a.m. to
4 p.m. Children may attend one
day, a few days or all four.
