Program
Turns 20
This sum m er marks the 20th
a n n iv e rsa ry ot the O regon
Z o o ’s youth volunteer corps,
in which local teens learn to
give on-grounds education pre­
sentations and run the z o o ’s
Family Farm Exhibit.
The Z ooT eens recently cel­
ebrated their program ’s birth­
day with cake and candles.

Teens not only help zoo visi­
tors and cam pers learn about
w ildlife, but they also develop
jo b skills and a better under­
standing o f conservation while
th ey 're at it.”

ows, internships anti work w ith
some ot the zo o 's more exotic
animals.
