M ultnom ah in the recruiting of new students to attend the University
and to give inform ation to oth er groups and organizations ab out
M ultnom ah. R epresentation o f M ultnom ah is a ccom plish ed in a
varie ty of se ttin gs and form ats. The person in this position travels
e xte n sively to high schools, churches, com m u n ity colleges, and
college and career fairs throughout the N o rth w e s t-a n d elsew here
at t im e s -to present M ultnom ah as a valid college choice. He/she
also visits w ith prospective stude nts on ca m pu s on a on e-on -one
basis, in sm all and large groups, at cam pus events, on the phone,
and through e-m ail. The A dm issio n s C ounselor w orks close ly with
ap plican ts and other staff m em bers to m anage and co m plete the
application process, including the review of adm ission files, and to
assist students in enrolling. The ultim ate purpose of this position
is to ensure th a t M ultnom ah enrolls new students who are a good
fit with the college, in sufficient num bers to m eet institutional goals.
Institution Information: M ultnom ah Bible College and M ultnom ah
Biblical S e m in a ry are schools of M ultnom ah University, featu ring a
fou r-ye a r coed ucational, in terden om inational Bible college and
gradu ate-level sem in a ry located in Portland, O regon. Founded in
1936, the college and se m ina ry have established a renow ned
heritage of excellence in biblical education e q u ip p in g Christian
men and w om en to transform our culture and the world. The college
offers B.A. degrees as well as three university M.A. program s. The
se m in a ry offers the M .A., M.Div., and Th.M . degrees. M ultnom ah
U n iversity is accred ited with the A ssocia tion fo r Biblical H igher
Education (AB H E), and the N orthw est C om m ission on Colleges
a n d U n iv e rs itie s (N W C C U ). M u ltn o m a h B ib lic a l S e m in a ry is
accredited with the Association o f Th eologica l S ch o o ls (ATS). In
addition, M ultnom ah U niversity is an affiliate with the Council for
C h ristian C olleges and U niversities (CCCU).
The university em ploys ap proxim ate ly 175 full-tim e em ployees.
