underway at the fairgrounds in Ridgefield north o f Vancouver
Shout Out to Clean Water Practices
I n an effort to prom ote clean w ater
practices throughout the area. Clark
C ounty is working with local school
districts to mount m ore than 500 m e­
dallions adjacent to storm drains in
school roads and parking lots to re­
¡ mind students and residents to never
put anything dow n a storm drain.
The 4-inch. blue and gray, metal
m edallions, read: Protect W ater,

A lthough 280 m edallions have
already been installed at 28 schools,
and 100 p laced at W ashington S tate
U niversity, V ancouver. O ver the
next several w eeks new m edallions
will be installed at 16 schools in the
V ancouver School D istrict.
