A sharing ideas panel will gather on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. to l p.m. in St. Johns at the Bureau of Environmental Services Water Labo­ ratory, 6543 N. Burlington. The event will feature panelists from Compass Junction, a neighborhood effort to build a strong, vibrant community in Cathedral Park; the Afri­ can Youth and Community Organization which brings together youth across cultures and helps them to achieve success through soccer and mentoring programs; and the St. Johns Farmers Market, a collaborative effort that works to support a local, sustainable food supply and en­ hance the vitality of the St. Johns community. The outreach is coordinated by Our United Village, a local non-profit that provides resources and opportunities for neighbors to get to know one another.
