The May-24-27 mission, which was conducted jointly with the Portland Police Bureau and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, preceded the annual Rose Festival. The police began to notice a pattern after three different bur­ glary incidents occurred in less than one month. The first bur­ glary was located at a multi-unit retirement home at Southeast Division Street on May 29,fol­ lowed by a burglary at a resi­ dence on the block of Southeast Market Street on June 13,and then a third incident at another multi-unit retirement home in Southeast at Clay on June 16. The suspects appear to be a white or Hispanic male and a white female.
