Midgets Win State Championship
SEI team also
honored for
sportsmanship
For the first time in over 15
years, the SEI Midgets won
the Northwest Regional Junior
Baseball State Championship
against the West Albany Bull­
dogs in the final game of the
season on July 19.
The Championship game for
the 9 and 10 year-old division
came to an end with a closing
score of 8 to 4, after two tow-
ering hom eruns from the
Midget’s Tommy Waters and
Trey Simmons.
“The boys came out to com­
pete every d ay,” said SEI
Midgets Head Coach Anthony
Deloney. “They are mentally
tougher than many adults I’ve
competed with.”

week summer baseball camp.
