Portland Cold Case detectives arrested Haynes on May 17 for th e d e a th o f R a y m o n d L ee Johnson, 62, whose body was found on M ay 8 ,1994 in his home Terry Lavell H aynes on Northeast Skidm ore Street. Authorities said the arrest was the result o f an ongoing partner­ ship with the Portland Police Bureau's Cold Case Homicide Unit, the Oregon State Police Crime L a b o ra to ry , th e M u ltn o m a h County D istrict A ttorney's O f­ fice and the Police Bureau's Fo­ rensic Evidence Division. Cold Case detectives thanked everyone who helped in this in­ vestigation. The victim ’s family expressed relief and thanks for bringing them closure in the case.
