Professor of Teacher Education
M u ltn o m a h U n iv e r s ity T e a c h e r E d u c a tio n D iv is io n in v ite s
applications for a full-tim e tenure-track Assistant Professor. Position
will begin no later than Ju ly 1 ,2 0 1 1 . Candidates should possess an
M. Ed.; however, a doctorate is preferred. Qualifications m ust include
e a rly ch ild h o o d / e le m e n ta ry e xp e rie n ce w ith a p p ro p ria te state
licensure with recency within three years (could include faculty work
ove rse e in g stu d e n t teachers), as well as five ye ars o f te a ch in g
e xperien ce at the e a rly childhood or e le m en ta ry level.
The appointee will teach courses in general m ethods and philosophy
at both the und ergraduate and gradu ate level. A pp ointee m ust be
w illin g to sup ervise stu d e n t teachers. Full-tim e faculties also serve
as stu d e n t ad visors fo r teach er education students. Evening and
su m m e r classes m ay be assigned as part o f regular tea ch in g load.
All ca nd id ates m ust em brace the evangelical Christian faith and be
com m itted to in tegrating faith and learning. Teaching excellence is
a high priority with service, advising, and research also expected.
E thnically diverse cand id ates and those with term inal degrees (Ed.
D.) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Base salary range is $46,750 to $53,750 depending on experience
and degree. Position includes insurance and other benefits.

education in Bible and Th eology is preferred) have active licensure
