The University of Oregon is soliciting qualifications from architectural
firm s in te re s te d in p ro v id in g d e s ig n th r o u g h c o n s tru c tio n
ad m in istration services for S tra ub Hall D eferred M aintenance and
S e ism ic Upgrade project on the U n ive rsity o f O regon ca m pu s in
Eugene, Oregon.
Briefly, S tra ub Hall w as constructed in 1928-29 as a dorm itory and
served as such until 1971 when the build in g w as converted into an
academ ic building principally to house the Psychology Departm ent.
Th e basic scop e o f the p roject is to re tro fit or replace e xistin g
heating, ventilation, electrical, plum bing, and lighting system s with
m ore e n ergy and w a te r efficien t syste m s; en h an ce the therm al
perform ance o f the building envelope; im plem ent seism ic upgrades:
