bounds - his most ever in a playoff
game - and Jason Kidd had 14 as­
sists to make sure Dallas bounced
back strongly after blowing a late
23-point lead in Game 4.
The Mavericks will try to close
out the series in Game 6 on Thurs­
day in Portland. It won't be easy as
the Trail Blazers have won all four
meetings there this season.
History is certainly on Dallas’
side. Of the previous 157 series tied
2-2, the Game 5 winner has come out
on top in the overall series 83 per­
cent of the time.
Each team has won on their home
court in every game this season.
Chandler was instrumental in
Monday’s win for the Mavericks.
The big man wound up with 14
points and 20 rebounds, but his
m ost im p o rtan t c o n trib u tio n
might've been setting the aggres­
sive, exciting tone the Mavericks
needed to bounce back from the
devastating loss in Portland on Sat­
urday.
Monday, the Mavs grabbed a
whopping 20 offensive rebounds.
Chandler had 13, and swatted sev­
eral more to guards near midcourt.

"They played like they wanted it
more than we did," said Portland's
Brandon Roy, who went from scor­
ing 24 points in Game 4 to just five
in 26 minutes. "They played harder
than we did. 1 thought they played
a little tougher than in the first four
games. They had more of a sense of
urgency. Now it's our turn to show
that same sense of urgency."
Andre Miller led the Blazers with

USA Football National Trials.
The M emorial Day weekend
event in Atlanta, Ga., will determine
which of the nation ’ s top high school
juniors earn a spot on the 2012 U.S.
Under-19 National Team.
Hannah and other athletes will
get three days of competition, de­
velopment, media coverage and
scouting evaluations.
NFL scouts and coaches will be
serving as the event clinicians, while
top college scouts such as Tom
Lemming will be on site to provide
further evaluation.
The trials will give Hannah the
opportunity to compete directly
against the best players in the na­
tion. USA Football is the official
youth football development part­
ner of the NFL.
