What’s a Pirate to Do?
Set sail on a
musical adventure
The aw arding w inning O regon
Children’s Theatre presents How I Be
came a Pirate, a musical adventure which
opened Saturday with shows continu
ing through May 22 at the Winningstad
Theatre, 1111 S.W. Broadway.
Jeremy Jacob is at the beach, inno
cently building a sand castle, when a
band of pirates lands nearby. They rec
ognize him as an extremely talented
digger and, having a treasure of their
own to bury, they decide to recruit
Jeremy to join their crew.
Jeremy soon learns that when you’re
a pirate, you don’t have to eat veg
etables or'go to bed at all. You can talk
rough, and sw ord fight, and say
“Arrrgh!” any time you want. It’s a
perfect life.. .except that there is no one
to tuck you in at night, or give you
kisses, or read stories to you. W hat’s a
pirate to do? Find out as you set sail on
this musical adventure.
Showtimes are Saturdays and Sun
days at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets are $ 19-
$26 for adults and $ 16-$20 for children
