Portland’s annual MLK celebration
On Monday, Jan. 17, the en­
tire metro area will join hands to
celebrate the life and work of
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Community-based World Arts
Foundation, Inc. is proud to pro­
duce its 26th consecutive tribute
to a consensus great American.
The program 's history spans
more than 25 consecutive years,
and is widely supported for its
powerful display of diverse tal­
ent and keenly honed focus on
the service to mankind that re­
flect the spirit of Rev. Dr. Mar­
tin Luther King Jr.
The tribute and celebration
take place at Highland Christian
Center, 7600 N.E. Glisan St,
beginning at 11 a.m. and ending
at 6 p.m. And back, by popular
demand, the Dreamers Village
and Bazaar will offer a full range
of vendors: arts, crafts, services,
food, and a robust cultural-rich
network.
