A uthor and recent Portland local,
Lorraine Hood-Jack, signed copies of her
newly released book, “Honestly?” Nov.
12 at the Talking Drum Bookstore (Reflec
tions), encircled by 40 delighted friends
and associates.
“1 love Portland and it’s great to be
back,” Hood-Jack said. I love the support
I’ve gotten from my friends for the book.
It’s great to see everyone who came out
to show their love.”
Hood-Jack, described as a small town
girl with some old school m other-wit,
wrote the first volum e o f four with
short reflections of thought-provok
ing wisdom. W ritten to inspire readers
to think about what we do, what we say,
how we treat one another, and how we
raise our children, the book may bring
positive change or make you laugh out
loud.
“It’s all about knowing who you are,
and appreciating where you come from,”
says Hood-Jack.
Released on Aug. 17 at the beginning
of her book signing tour, Hood-Jack will
continue her travels onwards from Port
land to Atlanta, Ga., and home to Dallas,
Texas, where the budding author recently
decided to live.
