Streeter, who was born Feb. 17, 1936 and died Nov. 4, 2010, will be held Friday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. at Life Change Christian Center, 3 6 3 6 N. Williams Ave. Husband, Father and Role Model George Ray Robinson George Ray Robinson was bom in Bonita, Louisiana to Essie B. Robinson on April 29, 1959. He moved to Portland at a young age with his family. He died on Nov. 1, 2010 at the age of 51, at home with his wife and daughter by his side as he battled lung cancer. George married Judy Lewis in December 1979. He cherished her as his wife of over 30 years, as well as his only child, Joann and niece Carmen Brown. While attending Jefferson High School, George played sports and worked at Fred Meyer. After gradu­ ating from high school, he contin­ ued his employment and entered into management. He worked at Fred Meyer for 20 years before he began a new career in route sales with Interstate Brand Corporation (Hostess), where he worked for over 15 years until his illness prevented him from working. George loved his family and fish­ ing. He had a mild demeanor and was embraced by a diverse group of people due to his kindness, thought­ fulness and being a good listener. George was a fabulous husband and father as well as a role model and mentor to his nieces and nephews and other young adults in the com­ munity. He is survived by his wife and best friend Judy; daughter Joann Robinson-Tillery and son in law Curtis Tillery; mother Essie; three siste rs, B etty B ritt, C y n th ia Robinson and Shirley Curry; brother Abram Robinson; and a host of nephew s, nieces, aunts uncles, cousins and fishing buddy Jeff Marion.
