recent Sundance Film Festival. The
screening o f another aw ard-w inning
film. Up FiomThe Bottoms: The Search
For The A m erican D ream , will be the
film ’s W est C oast prem iere. Highly
acclaim ed, it is the production o f Jim
& R od Schaub and is narrated by the
great C icely Tyson.

W eath er (1943) w ill be screened at
M cM enam ins M ission Theater, with
a start tim e o f 6 p.m .
T his y e a r’s festival also includes
a Y outh Film Festival, featuring the
subm issions o f local film m akers,
ag ed 17 and under.
O ne m ore offering is a m usical
offsh o o t that carries forth the sam e
c e le b ra to ry m e ssa g e o f A frican
A m erican film heritage. O n Sunday,
Nov. 14, beginning at8 :3 0 p .m ., local
