N o vem b er 3, 2010 Clje IjJortlanh (Obstruer Page 17 Bus Shelter Death The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, is asking for your help in solving a homicide that occurred on Thurs- day, Oct. 21 at Southwest First Avenue and Sheridan Street. Officers responded to a bus shel- ter at the location to assist medical personnel with a deceased male. Officers arrived and found 50-year- old Donald Ray Polk dead of apparent stab wounds. Homicide de­ tectives were called to the scene to begin an investigation into how Polk died. Detectives are ask­ ing for the public's help in this investiga­ tion. Polk or "Pokey" as he was known to his Donald Ray friends is believed to have been homeless at the time of his death and detectives do not know where he might have been regularly stay- ing. Detectives would like to hear from anyone who saw Polk, knows where was staying or anyone with infor- mation about any disturbances in the area betw een W ednesday evening Oct. 20 and the next mom- ing. Detectives have learned that Polk was last seen alive at approxi­ mately midnight at the 7-11 store at Southwest First and Arthur. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $ 1,000 for in­ formation, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any un­ solved felony crime.
