Exploring Race, G ender-
This fall, the Hoffman Gallery
o f Contemporary Art at Lewis &
Clark College presents an exhibit inves­
tigating the work o f Alison Saar, the artist who
recently created a campus sculpture o f York, the slave in
the Lewis & Clark expedition. Saar is known for her
emotionally candid exploration o f African culture. The
gallery is open Tuesday, through Sunday, 11 am . to 4 p.m.
