their national franchise company
for their pursuit of excellence
and professional management.
The recipients were honored
at a convention in Boston and
representatives from the top
performing ServiceM aster fran­
chise owners from over 4,500
businesses worldwide.
In 1988, Neyland worked as a
su p e rv is o r fo r the local
ServiceM aster Distributorship
owned by Bill Emberlin. Then in
1993, with his support, she be­
came the first African-Ameri­
can w om an to p u rc h a se a
ServiceM aster franchise.
That first business was licensed
as ServiceMaster Building Main­
