We chal lenge kid pirates to discover the mysteries o f groundwater through fun hands-on activities, such as making edible aquifers,” said orga nizer Rebecca Geisen. “Besides, the staff and volunteers really enjoy saying things like 'avast' and 'shiver me timbers’.” C o-sponsored by the Portland W ater Bureau and the Columbia Slough W atershed Council, A qui fer A dventure will be held on Sat urday, Sept. 18, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the w ater bureau facility at Northeast 166th Avenue and A ir port Way.
