Services for Tyrone Mullen,
who died Aug. 8,2010, were held
Aug. 17 at the Calvary Christian
Center.
He was bom Aug. 11, 1971 in
Portland, to Percy and Christa
Bell Mullen. While growing up,
'he attended W illiam s Tem ple
Church of God in Christ. He at­
te n d ed F au b io n E le m e n ta ry
School, W hitaker Middle School
and later graduated from M adi­
son High School with the class of
1989.
Tyrone played football but grew
to love wrestling, which became
his sport throughout his high school
years, receiving several metals. He competed
both off and on the mat, in fact he enjoyed
wrestling up until the day of his passing, in
hopes to one day coach. In the fall, he was

planning to attend Portland
Community College to be­
come a personal trainer.

he was proud to be working
and spoke highly of being
employed there.
Tyrone leaves to cherish
his memory his son, Chris­
topher James "CJ" Blaser,
his
daughter, Taj anae Nicole
M ullen; a sister, Serena
M ullen and her fia n c é ’
Richie Jones; his com pan­
ion of many years and the
mother of his daughter and
unborn child on the way,
Cassandra Jackson; and other relatives and
friends who will miss him dearly.

Loved by Many
Linda Cooper
Funeral services for Linda Cooper, who died Aug. 16, 2010,
were held Aug. 23 at Solid Rock Church of God in Christ in
northeast Portland.
She was bom June 5,1944 in Lawton, Okla., to O.D. and Leola
Seamster. She graduated from Douglas High School in Lawton.
Linda was known as "Moma Lou" to many. She loved to
celebrate her birthday in a big way and would challenge her sons
on who could collect the most money at their party. O f course being
M oma Lou, she always won the bet.
Her laughter and personality could brighten any room. Her
presence will be
greatly missed by all who knew her. But God loved her best.
Her parents preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her
memory, five sons, Thomas Earl Cooper, Rodney Lavon Cooper,
Albert Lavon Cooper (Robin), Edward Ray Cooper (Leashell) and
Kevin Len Cooper (Julia), all o f Portland; a daughter, Lola Janette
Larkins (Larry) of Inglewood, Calif.; two sisters, Lottie Hopkins
(Bishop Hopkins) of Vancouver, and Joyce Seamster of Portland;
three brothers, Richard Seamster, Ray Seamster and Mike Seamster
(Deborah), all of Portland; 18 grandchildren and a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends that loved her dearly.
