On July 27,2005, at about 9:52 p.m., officers discovered the body of26-year-old Eyo Nyong outside the doorway o f what was then J.D. Sports Bar in the 3500 block o f North Vancouver Avenue shortly after hearing shots fired in the area. Nyong had stepped outside o f the bar and was talking with several people. At least two men approached on foot and engaged Nyong in a brief conversation. One o f the suspects pulled out a gun and shot Nyong multiple times. He died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head. The assailants then fled on foot northbound on Vancouver Av­ enue The suspects were described as black males in their early 20’s. One suspect is 6 feet tall, weigh­ ing 190-195 pounds, with a very short afro. At the time o f the incident, he was wearing a dark, short sleeved T-shirt, dark jean shorts, and white N ike Air Force basketball shoes. The second suspect is 5’8" to 5'9" tall, weigh­ ing 170 pounds, and has black hair worn in braids. At the time o f the incident, he was wearing dark shorts. Glisan was robbed at gun­ point Friday by a man who pro­ duced a handgun and demanded money from the attendant. The robber struck the em ­ ployee in the head with a drink­ ing glass and then hit him re­ peatedly w ith w hat now ap­ pears to be an air soft or BB type handgun, police said. An undisclosed am ount o f cash was stolen. The suspect is described as a male black, 35 years o f age, 5'9”, 200 pounds, black hair, wearing a gray beanie, a white t-shirt, black pants and white shoes.
