harmonica ace Charlie Musselwhite
and his band in a benefit concert in
memory o f the late harmonica mae­
stro Paul DeLay at the Aladdin The­
ater on Sunday, April 25 from 6 p.m.
to 10 p.m.
All proceeds from the "Remem­
ber Me" performance will go toward
music education scholarships at
Ethos Music Center, a local non­
profit serving youth in underserved
communities.
The stellar lineup o f local blues
talent includes D.K.. Stewart, Lloyd
Jones, Jim Mesi, Linda Hombuckle,
Jimi Bott, Tahoe Jackson, Rick Welter
and Franck "Paris Slim" Goldwasser,
Arthur Moore and Tim O'Hare.

Jazz legend Bobby Caldwell and
the Portland Jazz Orchestra, featur­
ing special guest Patrick Lamb will
perform Caldwell’s big band Ameri­
can Song Book for two shows on
Friday, April 30 at Jimmy Maks,
downtown.
Lamb has had the unique experi­
ence o f touring Caldwell for last five
years, both with his R&B show and
big band show.
Caldwell has had a successful
career with numerous solo releases,
which have earned accolades far
and wide. His songwriting skills

Cult Comedy Returns
A cult comedy sensation that’s
been a smash hit across the country
returns to McMenamins Mission
Theater, 1624 N.W. Glisan St. for
two shows at 8 p.m. on Thursday,
April 29 and Friday, April 30.
Mortified stars everyday people
reading aloud their most embarrass­
ing, pathetic and private teenage
diary entries, poems, love letters,
lyrics and locker notes in front o f
total strangers. Witness “personal
redemption through public humilia­
tion” in a refreshing show that is
equal parts comedic, cathartic and
voyeuristic.
The larges and longest running
project o f its kind played two sold-
out shows in Portland last Febru­
ary.
