Predators Make Matters Worse
Scammers go after troubled mortgages

ceived a phone call last fall, she
thought she had found a w ay to

sure.

lost his jo b as a m echanic, throw ing

eviction notice, they panicked. They
shacked up tem porarily in a hotel
that they struggled to pay for.

for the fam ily. But Josephina re­
m ains resentful.
