on display at Mt. H ood C om m unity C ollege
in the Fireplace G allery.
“ I w as introduced to the w orld o f quilting
m any, m any years ago by m y grandm other.
1 think it safe to say that d u rin g th o se tim es
quilting w as not the art form it is today,” said
Brown. ‘ ‘There is something therapeutic about
cuttin g a b eau tifu l p iece o f fabric into tiny
pieces and then sew ing them back together.”

Quilted masterpieces by local artist Cherly L. Brown are on exhibit at Mt. Hood Community College.
