D elapoer ex plained that there w ere only so m any locations they could build a new clinic, and the M artin L uther K ing B oulevard site m ade sense because it is centrally located in N ortheast P ortland and is on the No. 6 bus line. But not everyone is com fortable w ith w here the clinic is situated. The Portland C om m unity M us­ lim Center, right next door, isn’t keen on having a clinic that offers ab o r­ tions in such close vicinity. O nly 5 percent o f all services offered by Planned Parenthood are abortions, said D elapoer. The org a­ nization offers co ntraception, H PV vaccinations, breast and cervical cancer exam inations, STD treatm ent and prevention, and counseling, she explained.
