Blazers Must Do or Die
The Houston Rockets moved
within one victory of advancing
in the National Basketball Asso
ciation playoffs as they edged
Portland 89-88 in their Western
Conference first-round series.
Yao Ming had 21 points and
12 rebounds for the Rockets on
Sunday, as Houston took a three-
games-to-one lead in the best-
of-seven series. Game five was
scheduled Tuesday night in
Portland with game six if neces
sary on Thursday in Houston
and game seven if necessary on
Saturday in Portland.
"We still have one more game
to take care of," said Yao, who is
0-3 in playoff series with Hous
ton. "We've been in this situa
tion before whether it is up 2-0 or
ahead. My experience here is
before that (clinching) game is
knocked out, it's still 0-0."
B randon Roy sco red 31
points and went 13-for-13 from
the free-throw line for the Blaz
ers, who led 70-64 going into
the fourth quarter but couldn't
put the game away and suffered
their 12th defeat in their last 13
games in Houston.
Portland Trail Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge grabs Houston
Rockets' Yao Ming during Sunday's Game 4 o f the first-
round NBA playoff basketball series.
