The Portland Jazz Festival
presents “Dedicated to You,” a
special finale concert with Kurt
Elling perform ing selections
from jazz legends John Coltrane
and Johnny Hartman.
Elling, a Portland favorite and
former Blue Note artist, will be
joined by sax great Emie Watts
along with a string quartet and
the Laurence Hobgood Trio, for
the concert, Sunday, Feb. 22 at 8
p.m. at the Crystal Ballroom.
With his unique collabora
tion of musicians, Elling will cap

masterpiece, A Love Supreme.

pearance at the Portland Jazz
Festival having previously col
laborated with Patricia Barber

Coltrane, long regarded as a true
