This year’s show, hosted by Milagro Theater, 525 S.E. The run of the show, curated by Analeee Fuentes, an artist and teacher from Corvallis, will take place on Halloween and on Satur- day, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2. An artists' reception will take place on Last Thursday, Oct. 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Another major Day of the Dead group show will take place at Guardino Gallery, 2939 N.E. Alberta St. A procession commemorat­ ing the holiday will also take place on Last Thursday. Sev­ eral Day of the Dead altars will also be built - one in the patio in back of Onda and one in the parking lot in back of Guardino. Day of the Dead traditions include building private altars honoring the deceased, using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting graves with these as gifts.
