After serving eight months of a one- year sentence for probation vio­ lations. the rap star is now on the road to reinvention. “I want to do things different now and to show people the maturation. There will be a big change, but no one does a 360 overnight. I've learned to ac­ cept my shortcomings and flaws. I've made mistakes,” she tells JET magazine. With a new outlook on life. Brown has released an inde­ pendent mix tape for the streets, "Brooklyn's Don Diva." The lyrical diva is slated to drop a double CD on Christmas Eve, entitled "Black Roses,” her first album in seven years. “I believe she has the skills.
