“G igi" Browder.
She was bom May 1,1929 in Belzoni,
Miss, to Beatrice G ibson and W illie
Harper. In 1950, she m arried Louis
Browder. H ed ied in 1969.
W anting to m ake life better for her­
self and children. M innie m oved her
fam ily to Portland w here she becam e
em ployed at T he A rlington Club as a
prep-cook. She w ent back to school to
further her education and took a jo b
with POIC as a counselor. She finished
her w orking career in the shipyards at Dillingham
until she was injured on the jo b and retired.
M innie had m any hobbies, but her favorites were
gardening, sewing, entertaining her family andclose
friends, and shopping! She loved the Lord and her

Stew art, who died on Dec. 2 , 2(X)7 at age 58.
He was bom April 2 , 1 (J49 in Portland. He gradu­
ated from Jefferson High School and served in the
M arine C orps for 10 years, including a tour in
Estates, LLC.
