Birth Control at Public School Draws Debate
There’s support, but qualms remain
(A P ) - People favor letting
theirpublie schools provide birth
control to students, but they also
voice misgiving.
Sixty-seven percent support

dents, according to an A sso ci­
ated Press-Ipsos poll. A bout as
m any — 62 percent — said
they believe providing birth co n ­
trol reduces the num b er o f teen ­
age pregnancies.
Yet most w ho support schools

are also closely divided over

control are m ore effective than

Frozen Pizzas Recalled
You, Me, and We
(A P )-G en eral Mills recalled
about 5 million frozen pizzas sold
nationwide under the Totino's
and Jeno's labels because of pos­
sible E. coli contamination.
The problem may have come
from pepperoni on pizzas pro­
duced at a General Mills plant
in O hio, the com pany said
Thursday. It said the pepperoni
itself came from a separate sup­
plier.
The voluntary recall covers
pizzas containing pepperoni that
have been produced since July,
when the first of 21 E. coli ill­
nesses under investigation by
state and federal authorities
emerged.
