Proposals are requested from qualified professional team s for
the provision of design services for the design and construction
of the Old Tow n/C hina Town R esource Center. The H ousing
Authority of Portland (HAP) will accept Proposals until 2:00 PM,
Tuesday, O ctober 23, 2007 at H AP ’s Purchasing D epartm ent
located at 135 SW Ash Street, 5th Floor, Portland, Oregon 97204.
Proposals should be clearly marked with the respondent's name
and address and the RFP title and number.
The H o u sin g A u th o rity o f P ortla nd, w ith th e p a rticip a tio n of
Transition Projects, Inc., the Portland Developm ent Com m ission,
th e B urea u o f H o u sin g and C o m m u n ity D e v e lo p m e n t and
potentially the Blanchet House of Hospitality proposes to develop
a significant new building in Old Town/China Town as part of the
City of Portland's 10-Year Plan to End Hom elessness. Three sites
near the Steel Bridge bridgehead are currently being considered.
In Phase 1 of the work solicited through this proposal, the design
team will work collaboratively with the Core Project Team on the
final site selection. In Phase 2, the design team will provide full
design services.
