Infiniti M: Designed to Outperform
by
K athleen C arr
The Infiniti M successfully
blends aggression and sophisti
cation to create visual flair and
dynam ic perform ance. There are
plenty o f cars in this class that
provide luxury and a few that
might have better perform ance.
But the Infiniti M -series put the
two together in a more engaging
package than any of its peers.
The M35 features a m uscular
3.5-liter V6 that pumps out 275-
hp and 268 Ib-ft o f torque.

Mobile Command Serves Ice Cream
The large RV that serves as the
Portland Police Bureau's East Pre
cinct Mobi le Command Center was
stocked and ready to go. Only it
wasn't preparing to go to an em er
gency, it was stocked with icecream
and popsicles.
Organizers have used the Mo
bile Command Center on some re
cent warm summer days to give
way ice cream and connect with
neighbors. Kids, parents and any
one who come by during these
stops had an opportunity to inter
act with officers in a positive, re
laxed environment.

Monique has never used crack
cocaine but was able to collaborate
with her husband on reliving the
painful journey of getting clean.
"The play is really about redemp
tion and that no matter how far out
there you can go there is always an
opportunity to be redeemed," said
Monique, who Sultan feels was
pivotal in his three years of being
drug free.
“Monique had a lot todo with me
and my recovery and she was some
one I felt I could trust and was very
considerate. She was a God send,"
said Sultan, who also credits his
religious faith of the Nation of Islam
for guidance through the produc

Solomon-Rogers, becoming part of
this project was about more than
acting.
"I am always about community,
it was definitely a project that fits
that bill and an issue dealing with
this community,” she said. "I also
just wanted to support Brother
Sultan." But mostly she is looking
forward to the dialogue after the
play, and the possibility of expand
ing the production into two-acts
and a national tour.
“ I think it's very important that
all communities can benefit from
this play,” said Solomon-Rogers.
