Dr. C ynthia H arris, area director for the Jefferson and W ilson High School clusters, has served as Je ffe rso n ’s in­ terim principal since April, but Portland Public Schools officials did not say when it expects to find a perm anent replacem ent. She leaves June 30 for the Bill and Melinda Gates Founda­ tion, with interim superintendent Ed Schmitt taking her place while replacements are found for both Phillips and Dudley.
