ASBESTOS COORDINATOR
Portland State University seeks motivated, self-starting Asbestos
Coordinator to be responsible for managing asbestos abatement
projects on cam pus in coordination with sm all and large
construction and renovation projects on cam pus. M ajor
responsibilities include design, planning and coordination services
of asbestos areas in university owned or leased facilities, in
conjunction with Facilities Construction Project Managers and
arch itects. Required sk ills include5 yea rs m anagem ent/
supervision experience providing oversight to asbestos abatement
crews/firms; must have proven experience managing compliance
issues relating to asbestos management (all applicable City, State,
and Federal contract laws); Bachelor's degree in chemistry,
environmental science or related science field; ability to coordinate
asbestos abatement work as part of larger construction projects;
proven knowledge of environmental laws pertaining to asbestos
abatement and management; excellent customer service; written
and verbal communication skills; possess a valid Oregon driver's
license; have com puter skills in cluding M icrosoft Project
M anagem ent and AutoCAD; must have proven experience
m anaging m ultiple projects at one time; must have sound
judgment, anticipatory skills, confidentiality, negotiation, problem
solving, excellent organization, communication, and customer
service skills; must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, and may be
required to work swing shift or week ends when needed to meet

of Camas, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, Washington 98607, up to
9:00 a.m., local time on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, for furnishing
the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees
thereof to construct Well No. 13.
The Well No. 13 project includes the installation of a deep well
turbine pump (furnished by Owner) into an existing casing plus
the installation of site piping, CMU building, onsite hypochlorite
generation system, caustic soda feed system, sodium fluoride
feed system, and electrical for a complete installation.
The Work shall be physically complete within 120 working days
after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.
All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance
with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project
and any addenda issued thereto which are on file at the office of
the City Clerk, City Hall, Washington.
